VROC - thankyou very much

To those involved in the VROC web site, I have one thing
to say -

THANKYOU!

I've had a few races there now and it's one of the most useful
and valuable online *** resources I've come across.  Ever.

I just raced people from USA and Canada from Sydney Aust
and it worked great!  Your efforts are truly appreciated.

Now if I can just keep my engine from exploding in long races
life will be even better.

VROC - thankyou very much

I raced at Monza against two germans, a finn, a japanese guy, etc etc
etc..... FROM CALIFORNIA!!!!!  I had a great time. Zero flaming and
***ing, good competition too, from what I can tell from the back
rows...

Thanks to all who worked on getting VROC together.

VROC - thankyou very much

Hi Jason,

I agree. The sim fans who undertake projects that benefits us'all are
much appreciated. Where would we be without them. How many times has a
sim been made so much better because of talented dedicated souls who
understand exactly what's required, as only true fans can, and who
then put in the long hours to bring home an improvement or facility.
I'd buy them a beer if I could figure out how it was logisticly
possiable.

I'd be very interested to know how you managed to get useful ping
times from downunder. From Brisbane the best ping I've every had was
about 450. At this its simply unplayable. I've just about given the
idea of online racing away at this point and am thinking of getting
involved in a lan group instead. But if I could get the online system
working that'd be wonderful.

What modem are you using ?
What service are you using ?
What pings do you get ?

I've done all the steps set out on Alisens's site but pings are still
terriable. So any advice of how you achieved a playable setup would be
well recieved.
