techie Q in Sidewinder wheel and two player..

Ok, all, here's the problem - I've got a MS Sidewinder Wheel and am
desperate to get any sor of two-player option going. I've got an AMD K6 II,
plenty of RAM, CPU speed, etc,and Win 98, but the problem is that if I try
to put the Sidewinder into either a Y-Cable or Switchbox, the computer
recognises it only as a Joystick. If I try disconnecting the SW and
connecting two 2-axis 2(or 4) button controllers via the Y-Cable, the
computer won't recognise the directional axis on the second controller. All
I want is to get my old two-player back, which I used to have with two
Gravis Pad Pros, but of course they won't work with the SW as Gravis change
the 'Game Controller' applet in Control Panel with one of their own.
If anybody there has two player, and a Sidewinder, I'd really appreciate
some help!

 Thanks a lot,

 Colin (Bomber) Harris

Just won't work unfortunately.  You can only connect multiple USB FF wheels
right now because of limitations of the ports involved.
