When dling from the net, I'm used to it asking me where I'd like to save the
file (for example, to desktop) - however, in the last few days my dl just
starts on it's own, saving it to a temporary internet folder in C:Windows.
Why, and where do I change that, please?

try right clicking the file and choosing "save target as."  Somewhere in
this there is a check box for "always ask this" in regards to downloading
files.  I think.  I'm using ME and I don;t recall if you are or not.

email me, Colin (I dont have icq installed at the moment) and we can flog it
out.

Colin, have you added any programs lately ? When I installed winzip internet
addon it automatically saved files to C:/downloads.
