Last night i tried to connect to a race thru gpl using
the tc/ip option,
but my multiplayer screen was only showing -connect via seriel com port
1-
and there was no where to enter an ip. I immediatly logged into vroc and
Remco Moet told me that it sounded like i needed to add a line to my
core.ini
file.when i checkrd the gpl file there was only a samplecore.ini so i
changed the
name to core.ini and fixed the alternate ip connection . Problem solved.
Now
my question is, prior to last night it would appear that my game was not
using
a core.ini but i still had force feedback. The wierd thing is my car
felt a little
looser and touchy to drive and i was wondering if this could be the game
reading
the core.ini forcefeedback settings for the first time. If so do i
really need the core.ini
settings or can i just go back to configuring the wheel thru the game
and be happy
with that?bottom line is-would the torque, dampening, latency settings
being slightly
different-would that cause the car to feel different? Sorry for the long
post but in
the immortal word of Led Zepplin i like to "Ramble On".
