What Potentiometer??? Electonics help need!

by James Pickar » Thu, 11 May 2000 04:00:00

I am trying to find out what kind of pot is best for my wheel and pedals
(nascar Pro)

I have 100k, 250k and 500k pots  (all linear apparently).

I have tried 100k and they seem ok, 500k give me very little resolution
(about 150 units compared to about 500 for 100k pots).

What is the best for the pedals???    The only move about 30 degrees.....

Any help would be appreciated.....

Lagacy gameports are designed to work with 100K pots. If you have a digital
gamecard the actual value of the pot shouldn't matter (I'd go with 100k+
just to be on the safe side though).
