F1GP HOF Question

by JORGE MANUEL MARTINS(le » Sat, 24 Jun 1995 04:00:00

Hi!

I have been trying some of the setups in the HOF (and viewing
the times...) and I would like to know if most of the people
is using a wheel instead of a keyboard.

About the Ivanhoe Replays in DGymers' Home Page, it seems to
me that his car has extra horses. Is this correct?

Please post here, because I cannot receive e-mail.
Thanks!

: No. Only the Ferarri has extra horses. They are wide spreaded all over the
: car body, the so called 'Cavallino rampante'.

Ah, so I _do_ have extra horses after all... :)
Although perhaps in another sense than Jorge meant....

This info is included in the driver list, but many people
use the keyboard to steer. I think it to be the best method by far
because it is so direct. With a joystick you have the benefit of
analogue steering and accelerating but this seems to be offset
by the long distance ( = delay ) the stick has to travel...

No, I use the normal 716 bhp settings. What makes you think that
the car is stronger ? I hardly ever am fast on the straights, only
in the curves. How did this old Porsche ad go ? : _Many_ are
fast on the _straight_.... ( but...)   :)

Ok, ok, sorry!
So I see that he does not have extra horses in his motor! :-)

I just asked because after loading the reply I drove the car for a while
and it had strange reactions, but it might just be the setup! I confess
I did not spend much time in it, I've been too busy!

About the wheel, I do believe that it improves the lap times, doesn't it?
I have already tried one, but with no pedals or gear buttons, so it is
not complete!...
