This one is a lot better, it seems, than the other community release.

Don't have rFactor, but that looks interesting for oval racing.  The
configurability of the rules sounds good too.

At the very least, the competition between the rFactor people and the
iRacing.com people should make for some interesting products.
I am very impressed with this beta from the rFactor people.
The generic nature of rFactor does not concern me, as I know it does
some others.
I like the feel of rFactor, and so far it has been fun.

The mod looks/drives nice but we need more oval tracks for Rfactor. I
havent seen any posted. I have about 2-3 small oval tracks. We need a
larger Oval to really test this thing out...

Out of curiosity Larry what do you think of the Natl Stock Car mod?  Have
you tried Evolution yet?  If so which feels better or which you prefer?

I haven't tried any of them yet.  Having a little trouble getting into
rFactor myself.

The Daytona err Jacksonville oval that shipped with the mod isn't enough to
wring the cars out on?

THanks Dave, I thought I saw pics of a bigger oval track in the Stock
car screenshots but I didnt see Jacksonville track until you pointed it
out.  Now if only i can beat those 4 lead pack cars in single player. I
tried modifying the setup without any luck. I could get a tad closer but
never pass them. Any suggestions?

My best suggestion is to find someone who actually has a clue to setting up
a NASCAR  stocker :). My couple of online outings at the Jacksonville track
netted me a best finish of second last of those who managed to complete the
race. Granted the fact that I actually managed to beat anyone will be
greeted with scepticism by anyone who has raced with me but ,fact is, I'm
even worse at setting up a stocker than I am a road car.  One nice thing
about rFactor is that it is possible to share setups in the game and one of
the contestants in the online race was good enough to send me a setup that
was at least fast enough to keep me from underfoot. So head into an online
session and see if anyone will share a setup
