F12000-It works, but...

Well, after much fighting I fianlly got F12000 to work on my out of date
D3D card.  But as usual, it's not perfect.  When it's just racing,
textures drop out and don't come back until someone locks their bracks
or, on occasion, I pause it.  And get this, the game pallete is corrupt
in software mode, so the cars come out like film negatives!

But anyways, with all display problems aside, I really do like the game,
and maybe one day I'll convince my dad to get a 3dfx card so I can fully
experience it.

ALMOST any game produced these days will benefit from a good 3d card.
Here's one line to try.
A Voodoo3 3000 is like upgrading one or two levels of cpu performance
over what he has now.  If you have a Pentium 166, it will run like a 200
or 233.  Tell him he can avoid upgrading his cpu if he gets a 3d
card(it's not totally true...but....:)  )
