The 3D Blaster IS a rendition board. You need an exe file from Sierra's
website (under the guise of a patch for Cyrix chips and also a SPD3D (I
think its this file) from VQuake or similar. A bit of fiddling with bat
file and your there. You won't have the 5 updated tracks of course but
still a vast improvement.

You need to buy & install a 3D card based on the Rendition Verte chipset.
I do not believe the game is compatable with a 3D Blaster.

This depends on whether the 3D-Blaster is PCI or not...The PCI version
uses a Verite chipset, and does indeed support ICR2-3D.

A patch is available at the Sierra site:

    http://www.sierra.com/papyrus

The patch is directed towards Cryrix-owners, but works perfectly for
Blaster cards.  =)

Marc

If you guys want to run ICR2 in rendition mode, go to:
ftp://ftp.sierra.com/pub/patches/sports-sim/ and get the icr2rend.exe
file.  After this, copy the file to your indycar directory.
Step 2 copy the speedy3d.uc file from nascar2 directory to the icr2 dir.
Run the exe and it will be in rendition mode.  You will not  get the
enhanced tracks, but it will run much smoother...

I have a 3D blaster PCI, and it works fine with ICR2 3D.  I think that
it is the VL version of 3D blaster that would not work

Both the 3d Blaster PCI and the 3D Blaster VLB use the rendition chip.  It
is the Graphics Blaster 3d which uses the CL chipset and is incompatible w/
rendition ready programs.
