Does Gp4 work with DX9?

I just installed DX9 on my system and now GP4 wont run and it tells me to
install DX8.1

Any ideas please?

This is always the scary part about upgrading Direct-X :(

I know of no easy way to uninstall DX9 either (though I'm not saying it
doesn't exist).

There is a DX9 uninstaller. Can't remember the link, but just search in
Google.

Try changing your desktop shortcut, start GP4 with gp4.exe.

If you have a look at the link the shortcut use, it should be changed to start
the game with gp4.exe, just change it and it should work.
