it that the 6 wheel Tyrell and Fittipaldi's Lotus 72 were in a start line
shunt (with some lesser cars) and the Tyrell looked pretty badly damaged (no
drivers were hurt). I was at Copse so I couldn't see the details but the
commentators were blaming a "Schumacher Start".
Less tragic was the Eagle Weslake failing to complete one lap, although it
looked beautiful, as ever. Other disappointment of the day was JYS only
doing one lap in Tyrell 003 but he was on top form when interviewed about
Ken Tyrell and his "froth jobs" (spraying the unlucky recipient with spit)
when he got upset.
