Sports Car GT - Not running. Help please !

Just got the game with my new Logitec wheel.
I tried running the game before and after installing the latest patch and
nothing happens. I press the alt-ctrl del key and it says "not responding".
I tried running the game in all three options, software, D3D and voodoo3 and
still nothing.

I have a Pent3 450, 128mb ram, 20gig HD (6 gig free), voodoo3 2000 (Latest
drivers), sound blaster live, resolution on monitor set to 800 X 600. Using
directx7a (no problems with Nascar3, NFS3 and Grand Prix2)

I searched previous postings and didn't find anything about my problem.

I closed all the programs running in the background except for the necessary
2.

I was having same results with Quake 3 and ended up returning that game but
I really want to get this game going.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

I would begin by re-installing DirectX.

This is just shooting in the dark, but what version of software do you
have running for your SBlive?  I had heard the 3.0 version was giving
some folks problems.  Can't do much else than guess.  Since you have
dx7a on board, I'd try re-installing then patching scgt to 1.551 If that
doesn't work...I'm clueless.
