of the NASCAR programs. How can I capture/convert/export N2K2 replays to AVI
or MPG format?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Don't know if gpl2avi will work with the new version since the new version
has more data in the replay file (gas and brake positioning), but the most
accepted way is long and tedious and will produce HUGE files until you can
compress them into MPEG or similar format when complete. This method is
basically screen capture and output, then converting to the compressed file.
I really wish someone at Papy could have pushed for this, but I understand
that the RPY file that the game outputs is data only, it has to have the
game in order to display the tracks and the cars...they aren't 'in' the
replay, only which car files were used and their time and position on a
given track at any given point in time. I have toyed with the idea of
outputting a full screen replay to mv TV out on my video card to a VCR, then
capturing the VCR playback to HD. Seems backward kinda, but I think it would
preserve the quality of a larger screen size since about the best screen
think it would also allow for more intuitive non linear editing.
