OK it's all in German but I know my stuff well enough to know that this
is bad for the average joe. I can only run it in s/w mode and there are
no patches apart from an opengl effort. I think this has been fungled.
Glad I didn't cancel my order with Amazon uk for the budget priced
original at 8.99.

There is a D3D patch...If you've a nVidia card you should be ok.
I fear you'll get even less then what you've got now. Well, at least
it's the English version. Don't worry, you'll lose your social life...

I hope you've e-mailed Papy and told them about this, afterall they were
going to release the game in a few weeks. They'll no doubt be extremely
glad you've pointed out this flaw.
Like I say, not for the average joe, shame on the mag for just chucking
it out there without so much as a friggin readme.
I've been havin a blast in the ferrari though! Ok the graphics are not
state of the art and I get the odd sound stutter, who cares?
Any novice racers fancy starting up a friendly?

Directly proportional to the amount of *** I've consumed ;-)
The game is looking peachy now but stutters every ten or so seconds,
annoying, but playable.
I was unfair to the mag, your right, everything is there.

I got a very similar stuttering when I had a usb MS FF wheel, which I
consequently took back for a refund.
I'd strongly advise you to get a wheel for GPL anyway (although for the
above reasons, don't get a MS FF wheel), it makes controlling the cars a
good bit easier.

Time for me to nip in with my customary "I've got a MSFF wheel and I
think it's great" comment. Mind you, it does sap the freamerate a bit,
so you do need a fastish PC.
