Penske is killing his CART operation and moving over to the IRL next
season.....

As I said earlier....  CART is dieing a slow painful death.

You keep saying that, and honestly I hope your right because they offer
about the best "racing" out there right now, but as you said to somebody
else:  Where do you get your evidence?

Evidence or no evidence. The point is that I don't see the point in
running around saying CART is dead, CART is dead. Yes, there are huge
problems, but someone needs to keep a positive side to it.

Yes the Titanic has a wonderful band.    How's that?

Champweb.net has announced that FedEx just signed a 3 year extension to
sponsor CART.
Seems the "CART is dead" crowd has their head in the wrong place.

AR1 is reporting that SimpleGreen has signed for at leat 2 more years with
CART and may sponsor a driver next season.
CART is obviously alive and kicking, seems the "cart is dead" crowd has
their head in the wrong place.

There is no positive sign to it..  Not only is CART shooting itself in the
foot with bad management but it is also slowly losing the owner base that
made the company what it is.  They are also under financial investigation by
the SEC and are probably heading for bankruptcy.

I do not know how they would be heading to bankruptcy with the amount of
cash they currently have on the books. Infact since a lot of their income is
from interest, I would say they would be hostely taken over by a company
that wanted to strip the cash before they go bankrupt.

The SEC investigation is actually a smoke screen being used to get
more bargaining power over CART. Nothing in it actually.
