Yeah. Assuming he doesn't have one of those fancy FF wheels.
It might work. BTW, why isn't the fact that DOS is required for
multiplay clearly listed on the box??? Was papy/sierra afraid
they would not sell many copies if they made if clear that DOS
was required for multiplay in NR1999????

Eric
BTW, are you saying this is not a problem/issue which papy
will be addressing?

This means bye-bye to your modern, digital controller if you are using
one :(
Yes. I think this stinks, too.

Most new wheels are using optical and digital, which is great. Unless
you run N2, N1999 DOS, or NROS.
Cmon Papy. Give us a joystick driver that can handle the PRESENT,
please!
-Larry
The on-line version of Nascar is called NROS. It's hosted on TEN. It
requires the DOS executable. The DOS executable STILL doesn't support
digital controllers.
You have to use an old-fashioned analog controller to race NROS on-line.
It doesn't look good as far as TEN supporting the Windows version of
NR1999 online.
-Larry
What ever you do, don't EVER try to recalibrate your wheel. The odds
are you will never get it back.
-Larry
Papy has known about this for a long time. So far, there has been no
action on their part to correct it.
Considering most new wheels (that people can actually afford) coming out
are digital and optical (which is good) we are really screwed here.
I'm personally tired of buying and wearing out Thrustmaster TM Pro's.
-Larry
This is a long-standing problem that only Papy can fix, and they haven't
shown much interest in it as far as I can tell.
