GP3 ain't that bad actually it might be very nice

Just got my legal copy.

After reading all this on the news groups I was prepeard to dissapointed.
But hey most critisisme is unfounded IMHO.

Are the critics going into the advance steering set up menu, and turning of
steering help, are they seting up there controller up right.

Same sound as GP2 no it's not.
Graphics pixelated?????????? there as smooth as a baby's bum.
Canned spins???????????no there not
No wheel spin after second gear????????? yes there is
Non accurate tracks, maybe other games got it wrong.
Undriveble curbs, some are driveable and some are not  just like in real
live you should see the size of some of the real curbs.
It's GP2 with rain, well it ain't GP2 and the rain and handeling in the wet
is unbelievable and a tremendouse programming feat..

If you loved GP2 get it or not.
If you never liked GP2 and thought that the bad programming in MGPR (only
joking) is actually a driving model don't get it or give it a go.

In the end I know that all the sim nutters will get and make up there own
mind.

Well,

You're right... the game is really cool and fun to play...

Some people thinks it's too easy and the physic is not that good... well
yes, it can be too permissive for some driving mistake, but if you want to
do some great laps without any driving aids... it's a really difficult
game... the car setups are effective and the changes on the setup really
affect the car speed...

It's really cool to be able to control a grip lost or to do a 180' turn on
the track when you get an accident (like Michael and JV did during the last
quals in Austria)

the weather changes are AMAZING ! the cars are really difficult to drive !
you can even have rain on certain part of the track and dry conditions on
certain part of the track.

the graphics are great on my pIII600 w TNT2ultra... (thanks to the small fps
change utility)... I'm waiting for some new carsets !

All and all, I have the same fun running this game as I had a few years back
when I discovered gp2 on an antic P166

Great job Geoff !

Phil
