You're right, Jonathan, and I've got an optometrist friend who dabbles in a
lot of musical creations. He simply is staying with his trusty Windows 98
setup because most of the new computers on the market don't come with the
proper (old) hardware setup. He's got too much invested in his equipment to
change everything out, yet he doesn't really need anything else to continue
his enjoyment and creating. If the user is satisfied with the current
computer/operating system, and it does what he/she wants, there really isn't
any need to spend money. Unfortunately, our society seems to think we've
all just "got to have" the latest all the time. We really don't.
