The easiest thing to do is make a copy of the blank.pcx and open it in
PSP.  Just cut and paste your picture into it then save it.  You can
then rename it and import it into N2.

Putting picture of yourself into NASCAR 2! How???

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how to put my picture into nascar 2.  I don't really
understand the readme file about what it says.  I am not real smart when
it comes to doing this kind of stuff.  It does say that I will need some
kind of special paint program.  Where do I get it and what are the EASIEST
and SIMPLEST terms to get my picture in?  Thanks

Please Mr. B...I did rename the file to "it", but alas N2 could
not find "it"...Perhaps name "it" E.T.B?  ;)

your file has to have the right name (ie: if your car .pcx is
xt_playe.pcx your picture file is t_playe.pcx) and must be in the
directory c:\sierra\nascar\cars for N2 to import

This was perhaps my poor attempt at a joke.  How about
you take a peek at the back of the N2 manual and look at
the names of the beta testers.  ;)

Yes you are right ... a poor attempt at a joke.

You admit to being a beta tester for N2?? ... what were you thinking
of??? ... you missed the bugs???

Where you also a beta tester for ICR2?? ... Apollo 13?? ... the
Titanic?? ... the Hindenburg?? ...

Cheers,

Craig

Sorry you thought so...

Of course!!  :)

What bugs are you refering to?  Have you ever beta tested anything?
If so, then you would realize that as tester, we can only provide input,
but not actually make any changes.  That's the job of the programmers
at Papyrus.

No.  :(

Missed that one...I seem to recall something about an age-limit
(besides, I was out-ranked).

The game or the movie...?

YES!!  I was the pyrotechnichian on the project...  ;)

Cheers Craig!

I have beta tested a few games and you are right about the "input".
Beta testers really have no pull at all. They put in alot of hours and
end up with a Free game.

As for bugs in N2, I have a great one. I have been getting N2 quick racing
fixes
by doing 10% races at Dega (since datona was not available). I would start
in the
rear of the grid & see how fast I could take the lead within the 18 laps.
at 94%
it is not easy (for me) but I have won. However in one race, a car I had
put in my
97season driven by Cole Trickle (yes I downloaded those Days of Thunder
cars)
spun out on the back straight. Just about *EVERY* car in the field smashed
into
the wreck. C_Trickle was in 8th place at the time and cars 1-7 went all the
way
around & smashed into the wreckage. That was almost a FULL lap!. Obviously
the
AI in this game is lacking. I do turn the YELLOWS off since it is only an
18 lap race,
but still the AI should not do that.

IMHO :-)

Well I just hope you guys ***ed about the lack of a SAVE Game. I can
actually understand the fact that there is no SAVE Game during the actual
race. But you should certainly be able to save your game after PRACTICE,
QUALIFING, WARMUP ect... Doing the whole Weekend in one sitting is just
not right. In fact it sucks.

REPLY:

That's why IMO you have to run with yellows on, because of what you say above
and in addition sometimes they'll wreck and you can go from first to last in
seconds and go all the way around and their still there fumbling around. When
this type of wreck happens the game is mostly runied you win by a landslide.
Again the best way to cover this up is to put yellows on. Once yellows are on
and a real bad accident happens you really then need to watch your in-line
position. In N2 it can get down right tricky to tell where your supposed to be
in line up sometimes. If your wrong and playing honest and get black flagged
that again ruins a race. That happened to me yestderday at Rock running a 50%
lengther, 100%, yeller, around lap 90. I had a good shot at winning until the
wreck of confussion happened.

Oh here's a little tid bit for Papy. We need to have a button (most likely the
spacebar) setup where we can shut up the spotter until he has something new to
say. He many times gets a skip and constantly repeats over and over the same
thing, many times incorrect info as well. It would be nice to press a button
to tell him to shutup and only say something next that is different then what
is constantly being repeated by him. This gets extremely tiresome on yellows
"pass the 20 car", you done this but for some reason he's had a little brain
failer, and says it for minutes on end as you drive along.
