I can't get the car viewer to work right with GN1970. I downloaded the
GN1970 car viewer files that goes with the car viewer. But how do you
get it all to work?

Perhaps being more descriptive of the problem other than "it don't work
right" might help.

When I try to use the car viewer. The car shapes are of NR2003 not GN1970, I
not know how to get it to use the GN1970 shapes.

Ok, you need to tell CV to use the shapes.  File, Open, Open DirectX mesh
(.x) file, then select the file appropriate for your ride.

Then you need to save the car's TGA file as "card.bmp" - it MUST be this
exact filename or it won't load.

Then once you have done this the body should show up right, though there
really aren't any interiors for these in CV yet.

My car viewer does not have an (open directX mesh) it only has an (open
texture) under file.

Which then begs the question - what version of CV do you have?  Because the
latest (1.40) does have this option under the File menu.
