Is it any good? I recall there was much debate on this issue when the
demo was first released.

The Watkins Glen demo didn't give too much of an impression of speed.
The Monza demo is quite different in that regard, IMO. When I roar
down Rettifilo towards Curva Grande, I get a great impression of being
fast - too fast, usually. :)
This may have something to do with the new artwork, but I believe the
main reason is that the trackside objects are much closer in Monza.
You're always so close to the fence that you can see it fly by on the
side of your screen. The trees at the Glen are so far off that they
don't move that fast until they vanish from your view.
If this impression is correct, all the narrower tracks will give a
great feeling of speed.

Don't worry about the sensation of speed in GPL, i downloaded the
warez version, believe me, it's there!!!!

This was from people who are comparing it to GP2 and ICR2 etc. There is obviously no
comparison to 800+HP, winged cars. The perspective in GPL is spot on. Part of the
challenge of GPL is getting accustomed to the VERY different feel these cars have compared
to their modern day counterpart. For those put off by this - full sympathies! This is a
gem in every way!
