I just got word form Sierra that there is NO track pack in the works. Here
is what they said
"There are no plans for a Track Pack and right now the patch does not
have a release date.
Patrick/Sierra Tech"
Sorry for the bad news

This is not a surprise.
As for the patch (and new tracks), it's on the way.
It's called NASCAR 3 and you will have to pay $60.00 for it.
Sierra is about $$$$, not customer service.
And judging from all the posts that defend Sierra, their buggy products,
and lack of support, we all appartently get what we deserve. <
I've been trying to spread the word about $$$ierra for a while now, but I
am as guilty as everyone else buying their sims. Someboady needs to stop
them from buying out the creative game companies like Dynamix and
Papyrus!!!!!

Sierra products. Iknow that I'm not buying anymore unless it N3 or a track

You all are acting like babies. I'm not trying to act like a know it all
or anything. The fact is Sierra did take over Papyrus. Sierra is not all
about money. They do care about the customer. The real fact is if Papy
didn't have the financial backing from Sierra that it does we would not
have seen an N2 from Papy that was so much better that N1. All games have
bugs. At least the company is making a patch to fix it. A lot of big
companies don't even do that. This patch is also going to add a couple of
new features to N2. Papy and Sierra want to make sure they are getting it
right this time. They don't want to have to release another patch to patch
the patch. How does the saying go? "Good things come in time?" If you
all just be patient and wait the patch will come and it will make racing
more fun. It may even come faster if you all stop whining and ***ing
about it!!!!!

All you have to do is look at what they did (or rather DIDN'T) do with the
great football sim Dynamix made. As soon as $ierra bought Dynamix all
improvements ceased. History is repeating itself all over again..........

The violins are now playing!Wake-up! This shit
should have been included before they even released
N2!!!!!! How much do they pay you?
~ Xena ~
When they released IR2 there was a patch a month or so after it was
released to fix most of the bugs in it. I would just like to have papy back
because it seemed like we got better answers from them, not "I don't
know"or something to brush you off. Its my opinion as of right now the
$ierra is all about the $$$$$$$, thet have not done any thing to impress me
yet.

I will never buy another game from Sierra. They have burned me with FPS
Baseball 94, then the stupid procudere you have to do to get the real NFL
helmets in FPS Football 96, and now N2 with its multi-play ****-up and
bugs. Alot of the original people from Papy have left anyway. Can only
wish another small and dedicated company comes along with future racing
projects.

I'm wishing that too, but as soon as another dedicated/creative company
comes along that gives a damn about their customers another Big Brother
like $$$ierra will come along to buy them out.

Remember that the original message was a fake, and that there will be a
real patch coming out. No, I don't mean NASCAR 3 or whatever, but a real
patch.

I assume you're talking about the summer '96 release of the Win95
version of IndyCar II. True, they did patch the Win95 and DOS
versions in short order.
HOWEVER, it took them *eight months* to produce the patch for the
*original* DOS version (from Nov/Dec '95 until the release of the
Win95 version)!
They also re-released the DOS version on that CD, *with new bugs
that had to be patched*. Can anyone explain to me how, when you've
got eight months to get it right, the new CD, with virtually the same
DOS product on it, has *new bugs* that require patching?!? (There's a
sentence in there somewhere. :)
Papyrus has done some good stuff, like the DOS-to-Win95 patch, to
try to make up for such blunders. But the fact remains, every product
that they have produced has required patching (back to the "modem
racing" patch fiasco of ICR1 in 1993) and, after the 8 month wait for
the ICR2 patch, I think you N2 guys still have a while to cool your
heels yet... :(
Before you send me UCE, I know what you're thinking... Did he complain
to five or six postmasters last month? Now, you must ask yourself one
question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do you, punk?
