We already have that for the game :)  As much as I love short tracks the 43
car field of NASCAr is just too many for 1/2 milers. I kinda hope that
NASCAR has more problems filling fields so that they go back to 36 cars like
it use to be. The thing I'd be most curious about the Nashville Speedway is
being 1-1/3 miles if it would keep from becoming a fuel mileage race. I'm
getting real tired of that. Also the concrete surface is a nice variable as
well.

It was a great track for racing back on the NROS.  I miss it.  Shame on not
buying the rights for BGN tracks.
Don't care much about it.  Prefer shorter tracks.
After converting it to NR2002, it's just not as fun.

Not really.  If they were stock car related tracks then perhaps but adding
tracks that stock cars do not run on makes little sense to me.

Dunno abt. you, but ovals bore me to death.  I'm not that fond of NASCAR's
Flintstone technology, either, but *any* road racing is better than droning
round 'n' round in a traffic jam.  Besides, stockers have done pretty well
on road courses over the years...including Riverside, Bridgehampton, Le
Mans, etc.  Open another can o' Whup-Ass and call me in the morning.

Sure I do.  The point for me is, it's not an open-wheel, road course
series, so I don't care if there's any road courses in it.
Apples to oranges compared to the GPL examples.

And fwiw, I like running the stockers on road courses, but prefer what
their forte is, and it ain't road courses <G>

Well since we HAVE versions of those...for GPL, wouldn't it be nice to
have OTHER tracks that we don't have yet.???
Flat airfield club circuits or twisting undulating tracks like Mid
Ohio....The single biggest problem with sim racing...THAT track should be
updated well beyond the weak ICR2 clone we have had for years....

Spoken (written don't sound right) like a true late '60s, anti-NASCAR, Manney &
Yates (Brock, that is) lovin' snob!  :o)

DGF wants more confrontation, & while for a long time I resisted speaking
(writing, sending, posting, etc) my 2 cents, I've now seen the light. <grin>

Brian
(gonna have 'nother beer)

P.S.  By the way, loved yer ICR2 & GPL guides, thx.

Uh, because people like running on road courses?

I, and dozens of others, are looking forward to Dave Noonan's full
converter for N2002.

People forget that outside of the United States it's more common to
run 1.5 ton v-8 full bodied cars on road courses than it is on ovals.

I send Steve at least 3 emails a day professing my adoration for his
guides, but alas, my fanaticism goes unrewarded.  We need a new
non-NASCAR sim so we can get another kickass guide.

Those 2 books are the best toilet reading ever, too.

>BEST. TRACK. EVER.

It's no Pocono, but it's definitely the second best oval in
Pennsylvania. :)

I'd like to have Vancouver and Long Beach for N2002, myself.
A Monaco conversion would rock too, or the CART Detroit circuit.  Call
me ***ic, but the thought of hurtling those beasts through narrow
streets against 30 other people makes me drool.

If only we could get F1 to move to Long Beach again...

Don't look at me, I'll drive anything on a roadie. :)

Not very well mind you, but driving by myself ahead of all you
slowpokes on ovals gets boring after awhile, and sometimes I like
seeing a pack of cars in front of me. :)
