Act lab force rs..

by David Ciemn » Tue, 16 Oct 2001 03:33:19

Hello again..problems..I use three wheel regularly (TSW, Logi wingman, Act
lab force rs). TSW and Logi work great but I really like my force rs.
However..I have trouble getting it working with the software correctly. I
prefer the serial port and this seems impossible to do. it gives me a
conflict in device manager whenever I try to load it. Even through the USB
it acts goofy. I tried the 123 drivers and then loaded the 2.1 pre June
drivers. It does not seem to acknowledge the wheel connected into a serial
port. I cleaned out all the drivers and want to start fresh. what is my best
course of action?
Thanks..

If you are running in W2k, NT, or XP, the serial connection does not work.
Serial only works in 98, and ME.  That's my only guess...

I seem to recall a similar problem with my LWFF via the serial port (now use
USB).  I am sure that I got a utility from the wingman site which cleared
out some settings.  Sorry can't be more specific - it was a while ago :-)
may be worth a look.

Hi Dave! :)

All I have to help you with is that when I used the 2.1 drivers I got FF spikes
in GPL so those drivers were no good for me. I used the 1.23 drivers and never
had any problems with serial (My wheel is kinda old so it only has serial
connection).

So you like the RS? Please send over a short summary of you impressions
comparing to the LWFF and the TSW.
/Roger
