Andre what about this noise issue? how bad is it? I postponed my order until
these problems got sorted out but I really want one now. A couple of people
were complaining in the Wingmanteam forum about the gears. Appreciate your
views

Obviously the gears make more noise than the cabledriven LWFF.
When you make a big turn you hear something like ehh.. how should I
describe it.. like when you open the zipper of your pants rapidly.
But it's not a loud noise and certainly not annoying imho..
Especially not while racing with the sound on, I really don't hear the
wheel when I'm racing concentrated.
Best advice I can give you is to drive to a store that sells it and
test the wheel yourself before you buy it. I hate to see a post from
you in two weeks that you bought it and hate that zipper sound :))

But I can tell you one thing, I just drove a race on zandy, and again
realized while racing how damn good the wheel and the force feedback
feels. I enjoy the wheel (and pedals :) terribly.

Sounds like rapidly unzipping pants ?
LOL. (Andre you have a sick mind, browsing the wrong sites again ? :-)

But, as i did before, i think Andre's opinions on *** controllers are
trustworthy and decided to -once again- follow his advice and go for the
Momo to replace my aging LWFF. I think the wheel is great, the bigger
turning radius (270 degr.) takes some getting used to and i ditched the
pedals and connected the CH again. The 2 pedals are much too
close together compared to the CH imho .

Also the FF seems to be much stronger, so i'm using %50 in the config
panel, damping and centering forces off.

So in other words, it's like the sound that Andre makes right after he invites
his lady friends upstairs to see his "MOMO".

As long as it's not the noise I make when I *close* the zipper on my
pants rapidly.  :)     But seriously, thank's for the info... now I
just have to save up my pennies.

Yeah! I picked up one too today, after finding out about the GPL-Fix. I
shouldnt have bought it otherwise (note to the LWFF driver developers :))

So far i love the wheel (ballbearing yeaah!) but the pedals are so weak
( why dont they put a stiffer spring in there?? are they really more than 10
cents more expensive?

Err... :)

I ditched the CH pedals immediately. Replace the brake spring with a
squashball and give them a good try, the pivot movement makes them
more comfortable and more precise than the CH pedals imho.
Matter of personal taste :)

50%? Time to do some more fitness excersizes remco, 50 is really low
:)

Hmm.. no thanks :)

Depends on what you are used to. The feel is comparable to the MSFF pedals.
And I can even brake well without a squash ball under the brake pedal. I
have never owned the old LWFF, but I can't believe the new pedals would
provoke the same kind of comments the old pedals did.

Hot damn!

They fix the one thing I noticed immediately, and concerned me somewhat.
The off-center wheel.

This was bugging the hell out of me :)

Thanks!
