No Mirror in SCGT

When I select Software in the video mode I get all the graphics but no
rearview mirror.  When I select D3D I get everything, including the
mirror but no graphics outside the car.  I am using a Diamond Stealth II
(Rendition V2K) video card.  GPL runs perfectly fine on my system.  Any
help would be appreciated.
