Slow transfers between screens..(N2002zzzz0

When I switched my video to a geforce2 ti500, my fps shot way up, almost
double at full throttle. However, inbetween option/racing screens,(off &
online) its very slow loading and transferring. I barely make the race after
qualifying. I have openGL enabled, because otherwise the fps gets cut by a
third.
Any help, suggestions is deeply appreciated. thanks.

That is kinda funny(odd/wierd funny), an OLD problem with 3dfx in opengl
was a slow menu screen like you describe.  I have no clue why it would also
show up on a NON-3dfx.   Now d3d 'should' run well on your system.  I would
guess trying some different drivers but I just haven't heard of this
behavior before.

Thanks, Dave..........I rebooted, and boom, all is well. Fast like it should
be.

Do you by any chance have 128MB ram of less, or a slower system?  I notice this more on systems with
128MB ram or less and systems under say 800-900MHz
