It's not stretched, as a widescreen veteran of three years, I know the
difference!   It's easy to spot that, I can force it for games that don't
support it, which works out OK sometimes.

RallySport was the same way, 16:9 native.

Sorry, can't speak to the PS2, I don't own one (does it even support
widescreen?).

Yes, the PS2 does.  At least there is an option in the firmware to
choose between 4:3 and 16:9.  Also GT3 can be played in normal or
widescreen.  WS does have a wider FOV, but on a 4:3 is distorted.

Don't have a PS2?  Okay, I'll hold off on the GT preaching ...
this time.

Sorry to the original poster for hijacking the thread.  So, any
other Ring times out there??

I found out there is a pretty active web forum at the developer's site,
www.bizarrecreations.com.  There is a whole section there for comparing
offline times.
