NASCAR distributors in UK?

NASCAR distributors in UK?

by Adrian Do » Sun, 17 Sep 1995 04:00:00

Hi,

After reading everyone going on about how good NASCAR is, I thought
that I would get myself a copy.

The problem is, that at my local software shops all I get when I
ask for this game is blank looks and "aint never heard of Papyrus"
from the attendants.

Does any body know of the distributor in the UK, (someone said
they have a version distributed by ***).

Also I have and love f1gp (long term relationship) how does NASCAR
compare?

Many thanks

Adrian

Sorry, I got so carried away that I forgot to ask, do you think
that I need a Joystick of some kind or will I be O.K. with keys as
in f1gp?

Thanks again

NASCAR is in my opinion, a lot harder than F1GP.  You may find that
attempting to use the keyboard, whilst possible on F1GP, would just
make NASCAR unplayable.  In general, I still prefer F1GP as it's
faster, smoother, and for an open-wheel road-circuit racing fan like
me, a far more enjoyable game to play.

Regarding availability in the U.K.  Where have you tried looking?  I'm
sure all the local stores where I live still have it in stock (HMV,
***, Game etc. etc.).  It's distributed in the U.K. by *** if
that helps you track it down.

>Premier Mail Order , 01268 271 172, 26.99 inc VAT & Delivery, CD or
>Disk. Although I thought that 'GAME' had it in the sale.  I've used
>Permier for a couple of years and had no problems with them.

And I'll second that. I've been dealing with them every so often for
about a year now without ANY problems. Sometimes they're a pound or
two more expensive than other places, but the security is worth it.

I prefer Nascar. F1GP's great because of the road courses, but I get
good heart exercise whilst I'm in the thick of it in Nascar, which is
much more demanding IMHO. 4 corners boring? Nahhhhhh!!

Stuart.
