Hi, i'm Keith Speroni, a friend of Tom Wardell's, he and i first came into
this 'racing scene' about 2 years ago..i think, we both had web pages, he
still has his, mine got lost on geocities (bleh).

Anyhow, i wanted to say 2 things:

1. what has this place turned into, none of the people who used to come
here, come here, jan used to, tony, alex...everyone used to..i dont see any
familiar faces here.

2. i read what was posted on The Pits and i am behind it 100%, things
obviously have changed.

Thanks,
Keith Speroni

Hi Keith,

I don't know what this ng was like 2 years ago, I've only been reading about a
year. And although I don't post a great deal, I do check here every day for
news, reviews and the occasional rant. I've learned a great deal and shared
ideas with people from all over the world.

What could be better?

Glad to see you back.  You have a familiar name that is wayyyy back in my
memory.

People get in and out each day. Everything on the net goes very fast.
R.a.s. is not only now.  There is a NROS private newsgroup, and a whole
server dedicated to F1RS/Gp2/GPL now.  2years ago Message Boards didn't
really existed, so r.a.s. was one of the only place to discuss. There is
still many people here who are not newbies.  I can recall easily 10 people
who are here since at least 1 year. People went away (Gerhard isn't here
anymore, Eric T. Busch got a position at Papyrus Design group, etc..)

I'm trying to put an official r.a.s. webpage (well, un-official somehow) to
have fresh air here, but it's really difficult.

It's the world pal !! It keeps turning and turning and turning !! Glad to
see you back still.  Hopefully my name is familiar (probably on the bad
side) to you.  Like I said, thing AND people change ;-)

- Excuse me for being provocative (I'm dumb speaking)

Hey! I'm still here too!  I've been around since there was only
one newsgroup for all racing-related talk of any sort -- rec.autos.sport

Started reading it in, umm, uh, er, 1989?
Was part of the campaign for separating it into type-specific
subgroups, arguing for and against certain ideas.  Was part of
the campaign for creating rec.autos.simulators, and one of the
key voices in giving the group this name (as opposed to the
original idea of rec.autos.sport.simulators, in order to leave
it available for non-racing automotive simulations).

I'm just too busy working and trying to get as much time as possible
PLAYING these sims (now that I have a machine fast enough to do so
decently) to do much reading or posting anymore...
