I've had N2 since it came out and have played the heck out of it. I've gone
away from it awhile with other things and went to play it last night and can't!
I get the message, "Unable to start screen, possibly out of memory, or disk
read error."
Well, I don't need the CD and when I did there is nothing wrong with it. I
have 32 megs memory and can run every game I own, which is probably around 100
of them. I have tried a boot disk also and still get the same message.
 Any ideas?

I get the same message. And I have tried running in DOS. ICR2 and N1 run
fine, as does the SODA Demo and Burnout Demo, and Quake. N2 just doesn't
run. I have a p133 w/64Mb, OSR2, with IE4 and Active Desktop. It ran before
I installed IE4, and I seem to remember an IE bug with N2 but can't find any
info. If anyone can help it would really make my day.
Thanks,
Brian

How much free space do you have left on the drive where
the game runs??  I had a similar message trying to play
the Andretti Racing Demo and by accident one day, made
more free space on that drive and the next time  I tried
to play the demo it worked like a charm.
So just to test things a bit, reduced the free space again
and bingo....no demo... message: Not enough free memory....

This is an "unreliable" "catch-all" error report.  There are many things
that could cause this problem.  There could be a track installed in the
TRACKS directory that is not setup properly.  Try running the program
with a call to the *exe file (not using the *bat files).  Check and make
sure your calendar file is setup correctly.  If all else fails, backup
your setups and any additional cars and try re-installing N2 along with
all of the patches.
