NASCAR 1999 is awesome!

Been playing nascar99 for the past few hours. Its real good, first thing i
tried was sears point with the trucks, drive around.. doesnt look too
diffferent
but
i htought i forgot the track for a sec, but it is the short track :)
the downhill esses are much better too, good improvement
as is watkins glen...
trucks rev to 10,000rpm! and seem to have more grunt out of corners, but
sofar i have found the mid-corner speed down to the nascars.
There is no ford/chev/pontiac tho, its all called chassis 1, 2, 3
the paintkit is missing all the lisenced decals, and all the cars have the
same fronts (looks like a monte carlo for nascars and maybee the dodge for
the trucks). Thats the only thing i have againsed it. Native 3dfx support is
awesome, no flushed look, looks very nice :) The tracks are awesome too,
look real nice.

I would suggest that you wait until the game actually ships before
posting your thoughts. You don't want to be known as a "warez dood" in
this group, do you?

Are there any new multiplayer options?

Buddy, this guy does not have N99. He just wants to try to look cool what an
idiot. He said that he just started playing it today, but he posted a
similar message saying he already had the game last week.

It's been out since November 11.  Take a look at www.dupecheck.com.  This

Funny Fran?ois, I never heard of that site until *you* posted the URL on

WHAT ??

I never did such a thing...

Check out the logs of the gpl.gamestats.com board and you will see I never
done such a thing. Why is this easy hit on me ?? That's really a cheap shot
Devon, I though you were better.  I have no relations with any illegal
pirating association or whatever else.

Sorry for this bad language, but what you did is really talk shit.

Not sure what logs you're talking about.  Can you point me to the

Anyways, I should never have posted that on this public forum.  Maybe I
got a little defensive.  I've been running on a short fuse this week (no
excuses).  I retract the statement.

Well... I've seen a pirated version of N99. It looked like a
development beta or even alpha. Maybe it leaked somehow out of Papyrus
labs? Duno.

I'm not going to write a review based on a pirated copy, but one thing
that hit me was the hugely inferior physics model when compared to
GPL. Anyway, I am not a fan of NASCAR so I got rid of it quickly.

N99 can not be compared to GPL. N99 is still Nascar2 with minor
modifications.

N3/N2000 will be more similar in physics to GPL...

While I prefer GPL, N3 will nonetheless (easily) outsell GPL 10-1.

Yes, sure, but a full NASCAR field has a whole lot more AI cars than GPL, so
hell knows what processor we're gonna need for it.
