Does your car really jump at these two locations? I guess that's what the
original poster meant. I'm not sure what you mean, perhaps 'simple' short-
cutting the corners? The chicane at Monza can be taken in sixth, losing
about 5-10 mph if done well and almost no speed if you do it perfectly.
However I've been really 'flying' in my car when I drove _in the wrong
direction_ at the chicane at Monza! The car was forced into the first curve
(steering help) because I didn't hit the right angle, bumped into the curb
at some 200 mph, was lifted into the air and flew quite over the whole chicane
complex and a piece of straight track, but then crashed into the right wall
(seen against racing direction). What a pity you can't save in simple practise!
What I noticed is that F1GP doesn't seem to handle flying in a very 'realistic'
way ;-) it's a mere vertical lifting of the car while it remains horizontal.
(Not that I expected a real crash simulation <g> - perhaps in F1GP2?)
Monza is also the only track where I have been able to do _quicker_ laps
driving in the wrong direction (using shortcuts but no bhp cheating), about
one to three seconds less. The crucial point is the chicane after the double
chicane where you normally have to brake down to 2nd/3rd gear, it's possible
to do it in 5th or even 6th the other way round. Maybe it's possible to go
quicker on other tracks too, but you'll need a joystick/wheel with steering aid
switched off.
