Just wanted to hear opinions on how Indycar will run on a 486DX2-66 and
if there is anything you can do to speed it up other than cut out
graphics.  I usually race 4-5 cars and cut out the trackside object but
noticed it can still be a little choppy at times.....great sim though.

I play Indycar on a 486 SX-33 and have no problems at all with
frame rate, or graphics quality, thus I'm sure that it'll be fine
on a 486DX2-66.

RAM is the key. If you've got 8 Mb or more you can do well with an 33DX.
Infact whatever PC you use 8Mb or more RAM will help tremendously, and don't
forget that a fast videocard is really crucial to get the most out the sim...

I run it on my dx2-66 with 8mb ram and a Diamond Stealth 64 VLB video card
and it runs real smooth even with all (most?) of the opponent
cars enabled.
Do you have 8mb or more memory and VLB?

I race regularly with a 486DX2-66.  I have mostly raced against full
fields, and I only have trouble at Indianapolis.  I run all detail on
at every track except Indy, where I run auto - and it turns a fair amount
of stuff off.

I also have a P90 at work, and it runs Indy with everything.
