S:H&R is a bit to *** language. Any game similar to it? You know an
open world driving game with missions but 'safe' for kids?

thanks for any suggestions

You could try Crazy Taxi.  AFAIK only the first one was made for Windows.

IMHO, this game is a blast.  I wish I still had my DC to play them.
The PS2 version is pretty good but the DC controller is great for it.

True, there's less swearing than in the TV show. I think "Outta the
way, jerkface!", "Eat asphalt, asphalt eaters!" and "Oh doodlebugs!"
are pretty mild.

I picked up a copy at a Wal-Mart after Thanksgiving for $4.88.  However,
there's some mild language in it.  Probably on par with what was found in
the Simpsons game.

You might download the demo for Mercedes-Benz World Racing.  While the maps
are broken up into circuits, you can drive off and explore as you wish.
Also, you can adjust the feel off the game from full-blown arcade game to
semi-serious sim.  I liked the PC demo, and opted for a used copy of the
Xbox version.  Really neat title.

Maybe crazy Taxi, but I don't know if it has any bad language in it.
I did see it for $5 at Wal-Mart.

If Simpsons is too harsh for you Destroy, ask your Mom to buy Midtown Madness.

not to mention, not swearing at all...this guys OK
with running over people, but as soon as 'jerk' is
uttered (which to my knowledge isn't a swearword)
its mega christian fundamentalist time ? You can't
even rhyme a swear word these days and some
*** gets upset??!?!

So, it's ok to drive at breakneck speeds around a town in a tool that kills
thousands of people every month, but say "damn" and it's a big no-no?

Get real, man and educate your kids about important things.  Maybe you could
start with the proper use of grammar and the English language for yourself.

So the guy asks a simple question and you decide to judge him and the way he
chooses to raise his children?!  Unbelievable.  By the way, the last sentence
in your rant is a grammatical mess.

The Need For Speed series (not underground) is great as there is no dialogue
exept for "GO!" So what if its a racing game. A little competition is fine
because there has to be some challenge to it. Or reduce the number of
opponents to zilch and just learn to drive.

I remember hearing a curse word in one of the songs on a Crazy
Taxi game, but it might have been the sequel.
