for the Serial version of the Act Labs Force RS Wheel?
Does the USB cartridge also need a mains power supply, or does it get
its power from the USB port?
Thanks,
Steve.

Ah, yes, I know, but what I'd like to know is: What voltage, what amp
requirement, and is the inner or outer connector the positive?

Thanks, Bob. Looks a bit unusual. I think I'll have to wait until I see
my son again and remember to pick up the power supply this time!

Lucky...I just happen to have a power supply unit sitting on my desk.
Not that I am playing games at work....it was just there...I don't
know how it got there. :)
Both the serial and USB/serial cartridges require an external power
supply. The USB spec doesn't provide anywhere near enough "juice" to
power our hefty motor. :)
The power supply in North America is:
Input: AC~120V 60 Hz 24.5W
Output: DC 21V 900mA

Oh - I must have missed you reply, thanks for that. I've retrieved the
PSU from my son now anyway :)
Unfortunately, as I have Windows 2000 and a serial Force RS, it seems
I'm out of luck without paying $88 (including tax and shipping to the
UK) for a USB upgrade.

I already have Windows 98, I much prefer 2000. I'm thinking of dual
booting though. I'm also thinking of buying a different wheel.
