Oops -- I seem to have mis-interpreted Ratbag's comments about a replay
option in DTR. I interpreted Richard Harrison's comments to mean that they
were already working on the programming to include a replay function in DTR,
but that's apparently not the case. They hope to be able to include a
replay function, but this is not a definite at this point. Richard went on
to say:
"I just wanted to confirm that we have not begun work on this and it is not
a definite. My musings about compression were based purely upon the
problems we saw trying to fit it into Powerslide, not upon experience
with DTR."
Let's hope they manage to get this done -- it would be great to have a
replay function to watch those inevitable last-lap Earnhart-type pileups in
DTR! <G>
I still have to say that it's great to see that Ratbag is paying attention
to what goes on here -- it just confirms to me that they are plugged-in to
what sim racers are talking about, which means a better product for us in
the end.

>WOW -- Ratbag replied to ME directly on this! I guess they ARE paying

>At any rate, their response came from Richard Harrison, Technical Director
>Ratbag Pty Ltd. Richard indicated that he agrees that a replay option

>"We are on a pretty tight schedule with a lot of core game stuff yet to go

>Sounds to me like they're planning on including a replay option, and that

>>Okay, this is to all of you who keep coming up with new info about Dirt
