how quick does ubisofts f1 racing simulation run un a AMD K62-300 with
an ATI XpertPlay ( rage pro, agp, 8MB ), both running on a chaintech AGP
100MHz board (VIA chipset) + 128 MG PC100. Will I get a decent frame
rate ( 25+ ) at 640x480 or higher.

I am asking this because I had serious problems with psygnosis f197
having really bad frame rate on the same machine. They said it was down
to the amount of floating point calculations in the game. As it didn't
use 3dNow! it performed really bad ( less than 10 FPS )

In case you didn't know, Ubi Soft is releasing F1RS's successor, Monaco
Grand Prix, right now in Europe. You may want to buy that instead.

Te problem of your system is NOT the AMD but the lack of a 3dfx-card.
Believe me !!
