ICR2: Indy conversion AI pitting

by Joachim Boeddek » Sun, 11 May 1997 04:00:00

Hi everybody,

I have a small Problem with the Indianapolis conversion for ICR2.

Everything is just fine, but my opponents don't care about the pit
exit after turn 2, they enter the track before turn 1.

Someone else had the same problem, and the given solution was to copy
the pit.lp file from the NASCAR conversion to the ICR2-Indy dirctory.
I dit it, but the only effect was the lowered pit speed limit (now 55
mph).
What's wrong with it?
Do I have a different pit.lp? Which do I have to have? Could anybody
send me a (pit.lp?) file which has the correct exit line?

thanks in advance,
Joachim Boeddeker

I'm working on this but can't seem to solve.

What I can't suss is why the Nascars use the correct entrance/exit but
when copied to ICR2, they don't. Those who know about LP's should
know that this isn't right.

If I can get them to follow the N2 path then I can get the speed
back-up no problem.

If anyone does have a working ICR2 correct pit AI file (there was one
around - it was part of one of the original convertions) can they
send it to me so I can post it on The Pits?

In the meantime, I'll continue to try and fix it.

Cheers

Jed
