A bit OT:How do I check what version Direct X I have.

I Downloaded Direct X 6.1 and installed it when it came out, but now when I try to install the Star Wars
Phantom Menace Racer demo I get a message saying that I need DX 6.1
The DXdiag utility program says I have Direct X 6 (4.06.00.0318) ,even after I tried installing DX 6.1 again
and it said it was successful.
I have not had problems with other demos, however I dont think they need DX 6.1
I tried installing DX 6.1 from a CD and still cant run the Star Wars demos.
Is there a problem with the demo, or is it my system?
Thanks,
Lutrell

Finally got DX 6.1 to install correctly after several attempts. Used the DX 6.1 setup from the Midtown Madness CD.

FWIW, I've _always_ found it more reliable to install DirectX from an
official Microsoft source and not Game CD's.
