A wing traveling sideways doesn't produce downforce.  I've seen F1 cars
slide at low speeds and once at high speed (Kimi at Spa, altho I
suspect luck had something to do with saving that), but 99.9% of the
time when a high-downforce car starts to slide at high speed it's going
off the track.

I believe it was Larry who complained that the GTP mod is "grip grip
grip chirp gone" and pretty much that's the behavior I'd expect from a
car with ground effect (or a diffuser) and tons of downforce.

Try the F1 cars in F1C or Rfactor sometime with the "downforce drop off
caused by yaw" or whatever it's called set to 1.0, imho it improves the
behavior of the car at speed substantially since the wings are no
longer providing grip when they're traveling sideways.

> Quite right. Don't people spout the oddest things when they try to impress!

You've officially supplanted Fredrickson as the biggest dipshit on this
newgroup.  Congrats!

All together now:

All: I'd like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony
Mitch: I'd like to hold it in my arms
DGF: And keep it company
Byron: (That's the song I hear)
Jason: I'd like to see the world for once
DGF, Mitch & John: (Let the world sing today)
All: All standing hand in hand
And hear them echo through the hills
Sidney: For peace throughout the land
All: That's the song I hear
Flightless Vacuum:(That's the song I hear)
All: Let the world sing today
John Simmons: (Let the whole wide world keep singing)
All: A song of peace that echoes on
Reggie White: And never goes away

Phew, that's RAS sorted now for the F1 group...

Nah, I'm saving that one for r.a.s.f1. They are seriously at odds with
one another. Heck, even DGF bailed out of that one!

I had my fun over there, but that group went from angry to ugly.

Put your*** back in your pants, mitch.  I'm calling you guys ***s
because you're ***s, not because of any difference of opinion.  I
disagree with some of the guys here about sims and politics or whatnot,
but at the end of the day they're reasonable people.  You're just a
stereotypical fascist***sucker.

Just curious - am I on backing vocals? I want to renegotiate my
contract! :)

Don't worry the camera will zoom in on you in the video. Getting DGF,
Mitch & John to all hold hands whilst skipping along in a summer meadow
is going to take some persuasion but the director's role should be
always be challenging to get the right results...
