rec.autos.simulators

It starts OK, and I can join a race...
The computer stops:

1) Sometimes when I choose a car setup...
2) Sometimes I can practice about half a lap...then it sudden ly "hangs"
with the car in high revs...

Nothging to do other than hard reset the PC...:(

BTW ...the GameSpy thing works OK, and all the games/mods work OK
offline....that is Alfa147 - M3 Mod - GTR - SCR,,,
And everything else run OK...for years...

And...I have set the profile in F1RST2...
BTW: Win98SE - DirectX 8.1 - 1GHz Athlon - A7V133 - 512MB - Ti4200/128

Any ideas?

But... when I run EndItAll, I have no Firewall (Kerio), no A-virus prg
(AVG), no Popup-stopper, nothing....and that is sure a little
dangerous...:(

Any Ideas how to run F1RST2 at the same time as the prg's mentioned?

I always recommend using a router instead of any type of software firewall.
I used to use software firewalls, and found a great many of them to be so
buggy that they caused more problems than they did good.

I have a router here with my mini-LAN of three computers and I didn't need
to set a thing to get F1RST2 to run.  It's only when hosting that you need
to set ports and the like.

    Just for current info's sake.  We've seen more chat disconnections for
users with routers in F1 2k2 than those that have a straight connection.  
This is supposedly one of the major items that was worked on for F1
Challenge so hopefully it will not be an issue once F1 C is released.
