I saw this on www.gamespot.com:
If you thought the graphics in NASCAR 2 were convincing
enough
to merit comparison to an actual televised race, then take a
look at
Psygnosis' upcoming title Formula 1; you'll swear you were
viewing
Days of Thunder. The filmic quality of the Bizarre
Creations-developed game is mostly due to fluid scrolling
backgrounds. Psygnosis acquired the F1 license through Fuji
Television, which provided the company with hours of actual
footage
from classic locations such as Silverstone, Adelaide, and
Monaco.
Hence, landmark objects like buildings and underpasses have
been
faithfully transported to the track environment. And the game
is
quick. Part of a new generation of games requiring 3-D
accelerator
cards, Formula 1 will provide support for 3Dfx, Rendition,
and
Power VR chipsets, among others. While this hardware
requirement
may bother some racing game fans who don't already own cards
,
the skyrocket-fast frame-rates should really pay off for the
racing
enthusiast who appreciates a real sense of "being there." The
game is
due out late May/early June.
