NFS HP2 running in slow motion?

whenever I play NFS HP2 it runs fine the first race, every race after that
goes in slow motion, not jerky, just 1/2 or 1/4 speed.  Anybody else have
this problem and know of a fix?

Win XP Pro
AMD Athlon XP1900
Epox EP-8K7A mb
512 mb Crucial DDR ram
GF 3 ti 500 w/ latest drivers from nvidia site
SB Live
Logitech Formula force GP wheel

  Are you using the bumper cam view?  It gets choppy for me unless I use
one of the behind-the-car views...
