Hmmmm, You ask me a question and then close the discussion.
Makes your ability to debate subject. Must _be_ the subject.

Well Kota I must apologize. GP2 _will_ run on a p133 or higher. However,
If you
want 20-25 (30 is video speed) fps and to keep the CPU occupancy under
120(140-200 in replay
at the most least content filled tracks) expect to turn off all details
and trackside objects
except for maybe "fences"(one small goodie) and dont expect to actually
race more than one car
in front of you at a time, or you'll be reminded of watching those
boring slide shows in Science
class back in school. If you desire to have a thrill at the premiere
track, Monico, expect
almost a 30 to 40% drop in performance with any detail on. It will run
acceptable smooth(SVGA) with
NO detail, but you'll also feel like your playing a game of the 80's.
Also If you have a buddy
that you would like to hook up via modem with, expect the framerate to
drop to a sluggish
3 fps(this even being on a p200)Impossible. If you get irritated with
the horrible performance
expect absolutely NO support, "patch" or "update" from their creator.
Too many "ifs" and "alsos"
in there for me to consider this product fininshed. I paid _full_ price
for it however.

Now these _are_ facts based on testing. P200 doesnt show a tremedous
difference.

If you are courious at how serious I am about my simulator "testing",
how I derive at my
conclusions and my demand for realism, goto:
alt.binaries.simulators.autos

I tend to be a perfectionist and GP2 if far from perfect.

Haha(Thats funny)

Actually its a 60" Mits(At the time it was the largest rear projection)
Gona
go ahead and put it in the bedroom and get the 80' soon(grin).

Got total surround and just installed a subwoofer in the seat.(Makes all
the difference in the world).
I also have a second tele line with hands free headset to talk(taunt) to
my veteran modem buddy
direct. We have alot of fun. I am thinking about going ahead and
ordering the hydrolics, but the
wife will only let me go so far!(grin)

Anyway now all I need is a F1 sim thats worth a damn. As for now ICR2
and N2 are juuuust fine.

Take care,

Is GP2 worth $30?
How is it compared to Indycar II?

Thanx again,

> Is GP2 worth $30?

IMO yes

more involved setups
Much more CPU demanding
slightly more forgiving colision physics
IMO worse AI (I think many people would disagree here)
more sharp handling
more easy to spin off the track
better control senisivity options (this is a big plus IMO)

If you dont have a p200 or faster, dont think about running GP2
in SVGA with any graphics on. Ever played GP1? Thats what you'll
get with a better dynamics model.

ICR2 is smooooooth on anything above a p90. Control is everthing
and only a good framerate will get you there.

If you _do_ purchase GP2, get the reciept and ask them about their
return policy.

Good luck,

OK Gary. Is this your definition of "facts"?

Kota, you won't find many games which offer you more fun for money than GP2. If
you own a P133 or better, there's no reason you wouldn't enjoy it if you like
sim racing. Try it out!

Well, I had a look and I was totaly gob-smacked.

It looks like a 41inch or bigger rear projection tv with big stereo
speakers and the***pit shell front half of a racing car complete with
wheels!

If you can't test racing games with that then you can' t test racing games.

I'm now looking at my piddly monitor and want to throw it out of the window
...

I used to think my F1SIM setup was good ....;o[
