Greg, your obsession with the *** and*** suggests some deep-seated
trauma dating back to the time you were toilet-trained (you *were*
toilet-trained, weren't you?). I suggest you seek some psychiatric help
before you reach ***hood or these traits may completely dominate your
personality. Your Tourettish outbursts whenever GP3 is mentioned sadly
suggests my advice may come too late.

Best wishes for your recovery,

Tony Whitley

That is it??? Huh. I was hoping to hear about how the brits could
explain all of that proper stuff. While the person that started this
thread wanted the game TODAY, and apparently busted some
establishments that were selling early in a rage of spite. It seems
very hypocritical if you ask me.

But hey if you want to skate around the real issue and come up with
this lame attempt at humor that is fine...

Oh too late for recovery, I'm afraid :-)

Good shot. Jo!  :-)) Maybe if we stay  on Cisko's  case we can turn his
flame-thrower into a little candle of illumination and insight, all
full of sweetness and light....  well....actually.....NAHHH!!   He has
too much fun cranking the thing up and blasting anyone within range!!
:-))

Oh, Cisco, let it rest, won't you??  Here you are up to your
mean-spirited tricks again!!  I think the guy has every right to be a
bit irritated when some of the shops are breaking the rules and selling
early.  I haven't waited for this game with the same urgency that some
have, but I can understand the frustration in knowing it is available
in some of shops but NOT the one in my own neighborhood, the owners of
which are playing by the rules.
I agree  that all customers should be treated the same and have the
same opportunities for purchase, and that the shops selling early are
surely doing it for the single purpose of taking unfair advantage and
getting a larger market share over their competitors who are following
Hasbro's release schedule.
Would you be so relaxed and unconcerned on a  real world racing
week-end if tire suppliers, for example,  jumped the release date for a
killer tire compound, allowing your competetion  a couple of days early
testing and tweaking but not letting YOU have them until the official
release?  This is an imperfect comparison, but an official release date
is either THAT or it isn't, and it is NOT a nose in your neighbor's
business (A rather more polite version of your typically rude summary)
to want the same treatment.
You have a "better half", do you?  Do you treat her nicely?  Hmmmm?
Or maybe it's just that you save your rancour and irritability for the
poor saps on this NG, and at home you are the personification of
domestic, tranquil gentility.  We're all hoping so.  Glen Priest

FUNN-NEE, Tony!!  :-)) Good shot!!  And Cisco is deserving!!  Maybe
that boy can be domesticated one day soon and replace all that
invective with vibrant sweetness and light!  Glen Priest

>WOW!  It is amazing to me how you guys are so quick to dump on this guy
>for being irritated over stores selling the danged game early, and all
>the smart-***comments to HIM  over this timing blip suggest to me
>that none of you people   are so easy-going and laid back about
>ANYTHING!! You kidding me?  You wouldn't give a rip if you were as
>nonchalant about all this as you seem to think HE should be, nor would
>would you be bothering to respond!!  COME ON!! !  Either it is a slow
>few hours on RAS or else  * somebody * is really getting seriously anal.
>Dang, Eldred!  I usually read your stuff with great interest and
>enjoyment and find it funny and also informative.  You aren't   taking
>Ciskco lessons, are you?

Since you didn't quote anything, I don't know which of my comments you're
referring to.  If I remember correctly, I said something like "What's the big
deal?  So, you get it tomorrow...  Your life won't end."  If you consider that
'anal' then so be it.  I see nothing wrong with what I said, and I wouldn't
even be ashamed if my *mom* read it.  I don't see why it's so critical - "I
want the game NOW!".  Sheesh...  If waiting ONE day for a *game* brings that
much sadness to someone's life, then they need help...

Oh, well, Eldred;  maybe I was too quick to respond, and overstated.
If I mis-read you, I apologize.  I can't remember what you wrote
word-for-word either, (and I'd probably loose this message to try to
find it! :-))   ) but it just seemed  at the time to me to be   a
personal attack rather than some friendly hazing.
There has just been so MUCH bad tempered sniping on the NG in the last
two weeks, it seemed to me that it just isn't as much fun as it used to
be.  I wish everyone could enjoy posting and "riposting"  (!) but drop
the belligerant, in-your-face tone so many recent messages have had.
Surely people want their stuff read or why bother posting, but
when it is this kind of relentless irritability who the ***enjoys
that?  Are we more interested in who can write the nastiest  sarcasm,
or how we can get more fun out of sim racing?
Well, again, sorry if I mis-interpreted.  Glen Priest

I tried to respond to your comments last night, and I'm finding the
danged messages I'm typing are not getting out.  Sorry if I jumped the
gun on your response to the guy who had to wait to pick up his copy of
GP-3.  It seemed to me his frustration after waiting years was
understandable, but it seemed he was mostly dumped on.
If I mis-read your intent, please accept my apology.  Glen Priest

Just what is it that you're suggesting he does in the meantime?

Cheers!

At the time I thought he should wait 2 little days for the game.
Why? You want to discuss how cool GP3 is or something?

I would be most happy to participate :-) I frankly never expected
to see you here again.
