Does anyone know?  It looks ok from screen shots and sounds cool.  Maybe
I will be a rebel<g>  and buy it anyway

Yes, it looks like there will be a demo. Regularly check with
www.nfs2.com,
because that will probably be one of the places where you'll be able to
find
the demo.
