I am having a sound conflict with a Yamaha OPL3-sax sound card.   I goto
sound setup and the game does'nt reconize the card.  I manually put in the
IRQ and DMA address, and it still locks..   I had it working with a
soundblaster stereo at 220  5  1   ....but it wont work anymore....all other
windows sounds works fine.  The cd even plays music with no prob.. it's just
a nascar thing... I installed Nascar99 and got the same problem.  anyone
have this card or see something that I am missing???? please leme know..

Thanks

Dear Tom, don't you love plug-n-pray? I used the SB8 mono settings in
N2 with the OPL3-SA and on the sound int string set the card s220 DMA 5
IRQ 1 and at the end T6 to open the game port.(S220 5 1 T6)  I had a
terrible time with this card in N2. As you boot-up press f8 to confirm
each load and you should get a message "OPL3-SA can not find sound.ini"
or something like that. It sounds strange but if you get that message
your set-up for the sound card is correct. Then, run N2 with those
settings and the SB8 mono and it should work. Are you using the
auto-detect sound card in N2? Mine locked up every time with
auto-detect. Let Me know. As for the GPL & Rend card. you may have to
reload GPL in Rendition mode for GPL to recognize the card. From the way
it sounds GPL is running in software only mode.   DBH
