Hi there,
please don't send any flames!
I'm currently running an Intel 133MHz CPU on a Chaintech 5IFM board, so
far no
problems. But Grand Prix 2 (for the Linux guys: it's a very good Formula
1
simulation, but doesn't run under Linux; I haven't tried dosemu yet...)
is
provoking me to see if it runs any better on a 166 CPU. Therefore, I
configured
jumper 20 and 21 to 2.5x CPU speed (according to the manual) and booted
my
computer. Nothing happened, at least not on the monitor; the SCSI disks
are
powered up, but the monitor doesn't seem to get a sync signal: the
normally
green LED on the monitor's power switch remains yellow.
Does anybody of you have an idea, what to do? Again, I don't want to
save the
money for an 166 CPU, I simply want to know (SEE!), how CP2 looks in
SVGA on a
166MHz; if it's any good I'll spend the money for the 166 chip (the 200
is too
expensive)!
Thanks for your reply
