Hi
Maybe you have a faulty CD
Scott
I have seen the same problem with gp2 as well as some other cd's in my
collection. The problem is that my cd drive is getting flakey in it's
old age! A COLD reboot often will cure the problem, at least
temporarily. Unless, of course, I'm wrong!
: Everytime I try and start a race in GP2, I get a 'File Not Found'
: error message as the program tries and reads the track off the CD.
: This happens whether I try a Quickrace, Single Race, or what have you.
: Happens with all the tracks too.
the solution to your problem is to :
make a dir gp2\circuits
cd\gp2
md circuits
copy files from your cdrom
copy e:\gp2\circuits\*.dat
you do not need to copy that huge trackdat.bin 215MB file. just the
track .dat's... then the game will work.
ps - this isn't a normal thing to happen, check your cdrom its most
likely about to break.

I've copied-and-pasted it from the FAQ that I found on the URL above. I've
not seen your posting. I'm sorry that I gave credits to the FAQ, but maybe
the FAQ should give credits to you.
If you want credits, I suggest you contact the FAQ maintainer.
Happy racing. (w e e k e n d is coming :-))
